The Reputation Audit
What public review platforms actually show — beyond the Google score.
4.9 stars on Google across 1,800+ reviews — one of the highest review volumes in the flat-fee MLS category.
While their Google profile is strong, their BBB customer review rating is 3.59/5 stars based on an average of 22 customer reviews. There is also no verifiable Yelp presence for the brand, and major review platforms classify them as a "Software Company" rather than a real estate brokerage. For a brand operating in 50 states, this creates a gap in independent accountability that sellers should note.
4.4 stars on Google across 800+ reviews — solid sentiment within the regional markets they serve.
Beycome's history is split across multiple profiles. Their original national Yelp account — 1.7 stars across 37 reviews — is now marked "CLOSED." While a newer regional profile shows a 3.1-star average, it only accounts for 8 reviews and sits on top of a much rougher independent-review history. Additionally, Trustpilot has issued an enforcement notice against their profile, indicating their primary rating is currently unavailable.
Geographic Reality Check
Per Beycome's own site, they only serve 15 states: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. If you're selling in the Mountain West, Plains, or most of the Northeast, Beycome is not an option:
Houzeo advertises 50-state coverage. In select states they now offer a $399 package with 0% due at closing — but that upfront fee alone is already more than double FlatFeeMLS.ai's $188 plan. In other states, the published flat fee is just the upfront portion. The listing agreement frequently includes:
Always read the full listing agreement — sellers should compare total cost, not just the upfront fee.
The Verdict
When comparing Houzeo and Beycome, the third-party data reveals two very different operational challenges. While both shine on Google with 4.4+ star ratings, their independent records tell a deeper story.
Beycome offers low regional rates but has closed its national 1.7-star Yelp history (37 reviews) following critical user feedback. While they have since opened a new regional Yelp profile with a 3.1-star rating, it currently holds only 8 reviews—a fraction of the historical feedback that led to the original account's closure.
Trustpilot adds another layer: Beycome's profile currently carries a "Breach of guidelines" warning, with Trustpilot stating the company's rating is unavailable because they have removed a number of fake reviews for the business.
